Abstract:

Soil hydrau-physical data are important for many hydrological modelings. They are the main variables controllingthe key processes such as water and chemicals movement and transport in the soil profiles. This study was conductedin order to analyze the spatial distribution of selected soil hydrau-physcial characteristics including infiltration rate(IR), saturated hydraulic conductivity (Ks), bulk density (BD), clay, silt, and sand content. The study area wassampled on a pseudo-regular sampling scheme with initial grid spacing of 1 km during June and July 2007.Maximum coefficient of variation (CV) was found for IR (72%) and Ks (67%). While, BD showed a minimum CV of9%. Statistical analyses illustrated that there is a significant difference (P

Statistical and Geostatistical Appraisal of Spatial Variability of Aggregate Stability and Aggregate-Associated Organic Carbon Content on a Catchment Scale in a Semi-arid Region, Central Iran

In a semiarid region of central Iran, effects of parent materials, physiography and landscape position, land use, andmanagement practices on association of organic carbon with secondary (aggregates) particles and aggregate stability canhave important consequences in terms of carbon sequestration and budgeting, deciding on the proper land use strategy andsuitable soil conservation practices. It ...

a swot analysis of the english program of a bilingual school in iran

Applying Spatial Geostatistical Analysis Models for Evaluating Variability of Soil Properties in Eastern Shiraz, Iran

ABSTRACT- The information on the spatial properties of soil is vital to improve soil management and to increase the crop productivity. Geostatistical analysis technique is one of the most important methods for determining the spatial properties of soil. The aim of this study was to investigate spatial variability of soil chemical and physical attributes for field management in eastern Shiraz, I...
